"Individual  Retail Investors shall have the option to bid in the Retail category as well as HNI category. If the cumulative bid value of such investment exceeds Rs.2  Lakhs, in both categories i.e Retail and HNI, then the bids in the Retail  category shall become non-eligible

e.g.Multiple Bids in retail category

An Investor has placed bid 1 at Rs.75,000 in retail category (Price per share – Rs.75 and share quantity – 1000) and bid 2 at Rs.50,000 also  in retail category (Price per share – Rs.50 and share quantity – 1000), then the  cumulative bid amount Rs.125,000 will be accepted by the exchange as amount  does not exceeds Rs.200,000, the maximum cap for retail category.

 Multiple Bids in Retail & HNI categories

Investor  has placed bid 1 at Rs.75,000 (Price per share – Rs.75 and share quantity – 1000)  in retail category and bid 2 at Rs.50,000 (Price per share – Rs.50 and share quantity – 1000) in retail category and bid 3 at Rs.225,000 (Price per share – Rs.75 and share quantity – 3000) in HNI category, then the total bid amount of Rs.125,000 in retail category will be rejected at exchange end and the bid amount  for Rs.225,000 in HNI category only will be accepted by exchange, as the cumulative  bid amount exceeds Rs.200,000."
