Advantage AxisDirect

A Demat account can be frozen by submitting a Freeze/Unfreeze form (NSDL & CDSL) along with a self attested PAN card copy to freeze the demat account. The customer can choose to freeze a demat account to stop debit/credit or both of securities.

What happens when a Demat account is frozen?

1) AMC will still be charged since the demat account is still active it is only frozen for a desired period

2) In case of corporate actions, the customer will have to coordinate with the RTA for the credit of securities

3) There should be no open positions in the account before requesting for a freeze
