Poonawalla Fincorp (PFL) today announced the launch of its next generation conversational AI platform for omnichannel customer service, marking a significant milestone in its AI-first transformation journey. Designed as a unified interaction layer, the platform will serve as the single customer service interface across channels, enabling a seamless and consistent experience.

The platform will autonomously resolve up to 80% of voice and chat interactions, reducing service costs while improving customer experience. Complex or high-empathy cases are routed to human agents, allowing teams to focus where they add the most value. Powered by multi-agent AI orchestration, it features an industry-first contextual interface with real-time insights such as customer history, loan risk flags and sentiment analysis. This enables faster resolutions, higher first-contact closure and stronger compliance.

The launch reflects PFL's broader strategy of making AI a core driver of growth, sharper decision-making and operational excellence. From customer engagement and credit underwriting to risk management and internal productivity, the Company is embedding intelligence across its operating model to set new benchmarks in financial services.

 PFL's AI program now spans 57 initiatives across risk, credit, compliance, HR, operations and business functions, with 41 already deployed and others under development. Poonawalla Fincorp announced the successful completion of its Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP), raising Rs 2,500 crore.

The issue saw strong participation from institutional investors, long-term funds, reflecting continued confidence in the Company's strategy and growth outlook.

Key Transaction Highlights: 

• The Company issued 67,430,883 equity shares of face value Rs 2 each to Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) at an issue price of Rs 370.75 per equity share. The issue price represents a 5% discount to the floor price of Rs 390.26 per equity share, resulting in aggregate proceeds of Rs 2,500 crore.
• The QIP, which opened on 09 April 2026, and closed on 13 April 2026, saw subscription from a diversified pool of investors, including Domestic Mutual Funds (MFs), Domestic Insurance Companies, and Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs).

The company's board authorized and declared the opening of the issue on Thursday, 9 April 2026.

The floor price of Rs 390.26 is at a discount of 2.68% to the scrip?s previous closing price of Rs 401 on the BSE.

The floor price of Rs 390.26 per share has been fixed in accordance with SEBI ICDR norms. The final issue price will be determined in consultation with the book-running lead managers, with the company retaining the option to offer a discount of up to 5% on the floor price, subject to shareholder approval.

Poonawalla Fincorp is a non-deposit-taking NBFC registered with the RBI, primarily engaged in consumer and MSME financing.

On a consolidated basis, Poonawalla Fincorp's net profit surged 702% to Rs 150.22 on a 72% increase in total income to Rs 1,818.48 crore in Q3 FY26 over Q3 FY25.

Shares of Poonawalla Fincorp shed 0.02% to Rs 400.90 on the BSE.

Poonawalla Fincorp will hold a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company on 5 May 2026.
