 K.P. Energy has been granted an Inter-State Electricity Trading Licence (Category V) by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), marking an important step in strengthening the Company's presence in India's evolving power markets.

This approval authorises the Company to undertake electricity trading across state boundaries, enabling participation in national power markets and enhancing the Company's ability to align power sales with demand dynamics across regions.

With this licence, the Company is now positioned to participate in inter-state electricity trading seamlessly, expanding its commercial capabilities and laying the foundation for a broader power marketing platform.

The licence, classified under Category V, allows the company to undertake electricity trading across state boundaries and participate in national power markets.

The approval enables the company to access demand centres across multiple states and optimise power sales based on market conditions. It also allows participation in exchange-led and short-term power markets, complementing long-term contracting strategies.

The company said the development will expand its commercial capabilities and support its strategy of building an integrated renewable energy platform.

The licence is expected to enhance flexibility in power sales and improve realisations through market-linked mechanisms.

KP Energy provides end-to-end services through its EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning) vertical, covering the entire lifecycle of wind and wind-solar hybrid projects from site identification to commissioning. The company offers both integrated and customised solutions, aimed at ensuring efficient project execution and supporting the growth of renewable energy.

The company?s consolidated net profit jumped 56.7% to Rs 41.35 crore in Q3 FY26, compared with Rs 26.39 crore in Q3 FY25. Net sales climbed 62.8% YoY to Rs 344.96 crore in Q3 FY26.

K.P. Energy has received a letter of award from JK Paper for the development of a 91.4 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project in Gujarat.

The project is being executed on a complete turnkey basis, encompassing end-to-end activities including engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning. It also includes the development of evacuation infrastructure, enabling grid connectivity, obtaining all necessary statutory and regulatory clearances, and providing operation & maintenance (O&M) services for the Balance of Plant (BoP) of the wind capacity and the complete installed capacity of the solar project.

The order comprises 20.2 MW of wind capacity and 20.6 MWp of solar capacity. The project has been awarded on a complete turnkey basis, encompassing supply, installation and commissioning of the project. The scope of work also includes development of evacuation infrastructure, facilitation of grid connectivity, and obtaining requisite statutory and regulatory approvals.

K.P. Energy primarily engaged in Wind Farm development, development of Wind power projects and allied services related to it along with generation of electricity through wind power generating assets and operation and maintenance services of wind power projects primarily in India.
