Profit before tax soared 90% YoY to Rs 126.39 crore in Q3 December 2023. The operating profit surged by 93% year over year to reach Rs 103.54 crore for the quarter. The EBITDA margin stood at 25.67% in Q3FY24 higher than 15.50% in Q3FY23.

Total expenses rose 0.69% to Rs 306.88 crore in Q2 FY24 over Q2 FY23. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 292.83 crore (up 36.14% YoY) while employee benefits expense was at Rs 11.9 crore (up 14.31% YoY).

The company's opening order book at 1 April 2023 was Rs 602.66 crore (5859 MVA) and new orders worth Rs 1385 crore (11734 MVA) got added from April 2023 onwards till 31 December 2023, with growth of 34% in value terms and 31% in volume (MVA) terms compare to the previous year.

Voltamp Transformers manufactures a diverse range of transformers, including oil-filled power and distribution transformers up to 160MVA, 220kV Class. Additionally, the company produces resin-impregnated dry-type transformers up to 5 MVA, 11KV Class in technical collaboration with MORA, Germany, along with cast resin dry-type transformers up to 12.5 MVA, 33 KV Class in technical collaboration with HTT, Germany.

Net profit of Voltamp Transformers rose 86.39% to Rs 94.61 crore in the quarter ended December 2023 as against Rs 50.76 crore during the previous quarter ended December 2022. Sales rose 14.27% to Rs 408.48 crore in the quarter ended December 2023 as against Rs 357.47 crore during the previous quarter ended December 2022.
