Net profit of NHPC rose 0.67% to Rs 1545.85 crore in the quarter ended September 2023 as against Rs 1535.60 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2022. Sales declined 12.92% to Rs 2931.26 crore in the quarter ended September 2023 as against Rs 3366.02 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2022.

NHPC announced that in respect of Teesta-VI HE Project, Sikkim (500 MW) being executed by Lanco Teesta Hydro Power, a wholly owned subsidiary of NHPC, which was affected due to flash flood in Teesta Basin on 04 October 2023, the expected quantum of loss/ damage caused due to the natural calamity/ other force majeure events amount to Rs. 233.56 crore approx.
