EMS has received the Letter of Award (LOA) from UP Jal Nigam (Urban), Varanasi for laying of sewer network and house connection work in 18 Problematic Wards (2 Wards Namely: Hukulganj & Naibasti out of 18 problematic Wards) of Nagar Nigam, Varanasi. The estimated order value (excluding GST) is approximately Rs. 64.84 crore.

The order involves surveying, soil investigation, design, and supply of all materials, labour, and tools & tackles on a turnkey basis for ?Laying of Sewer Networks and House Connection Work in 18 Problematic Wards of Nagar Nigam, Varanasi,? including Durgakund, Nariyan, Sarainandan, Jolha Northan, and Bhelupur.

The scope includes laying and jointing of sewer network and providing sewer house connections. The project is to be executed within 24 months.

The company clarified that the order has been awarded by a domestic entity and does not involve any interest from promoters or promoter group entities. It is not a related party transaction.

The first contract, valued at around Rs 143.8 crore, involves survey, soil investigation, design, and execution of sewer network laying and household connections across five wards?Durgakund, Nariyan, Sarainandan, Jolha Northan, and Bhelupur?under a broader project covering 18 problematic wards of Nagar Nigam, Varanasi.

The second project, worth about Rs 64.8 crore, includes similar works in Hukulganj and Nai Basti wards, along with the construction of a 23 MLD sewage pumping station.

Both projects are domestic turnkey contracts and are to be executed within 24 months and 18 months, respectively. The company said the contracts were awarded on standard terms, with no promoter or related-party interest involved.
