Uflex has executed an agreement on 20 December 2024 for purchase of further 54,31,873 equity shares of face value of Rs. 10/- each (representing 8.26% of the total issued and subscribed share capital of Amplus Phoenix from its existing shareholders at face value of Rs. 10/- each) aggregating to Rs. 5.43 crore.

Post acquisition of said equity shares, the total shareholding of Uflex in Amplus Phoenix will be 1,16,69,603 equity shares of face value of Rs. 10/- each, representing 17.75% of the total issued and subscribed share capital of Amplus Phoenix.

Net loss of Uflex reported to Rs 64.62 crore in the quarter ended September 2024 as against net profit of Rs 63.31 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2023. Sales rose 14.67% to Rs 3781.03 crore in the quarter ended September 2024 as against Rs 3297.45 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2023.

The facility is set to produce 12 billion packs per year and is expected to be operational by 30 September 2025.

The total investment for this project is approximately $126 million, which will be financed through a mix of owned and borrowed funds.

The company reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 416.18 crore in Q1 FY24 as against a net profit of Rs 374.49 crore posted in Q1 FY23. Revenue from operations slipped 19.4% year on year to Rs 3,219.92 crore during the quarter.
