SEPC announced the successful execution of a Settlement Deed with Hindustan Copper (HCL), concluding all inter-se claims and counterclaims arising from the arbitration proceedings in Case No. AP No.163 of 2023.

Under the terms of the settlement, SEPC will receive Rs 30.45 crore as full and final settlement, marking the closure of all pending arbitration matters between the two parties.

Additionally, HCL has confirmed the issuance of a supplementary work order worth Rs 72.55 crore related to the ongoing vertical shaft sinking project. This new award enhances the project's overall value and reinforces SEPC's standing as a key EPC partner in India's mining infrastructure segment.

The work award has been issued in continuation of the proposed Service Agreement, which will be shared with the joint venture shortly and will govern all terms and conditions of the contract.

The order, awarded by Lauren Middle East Engineering Construction L.L.C., pertains to a strategic energy-infrastructure upgrade project at Mubarraz Island under the Abu Dhabi Oil Company (ADOC) development programme.

Under the contract, SEPC will install a new Emergency Shutdown (ESD) system, Nitrogen Generation Unit, and an advanced Public Address & General Alarm (PAGA) system. The project is slated for completion by December 2026.

The scope of work includes deployment of specialised engineering teams, piping and instrumentation upgrades, and integration of mission-critical safety systems essential for continuous oil and gas operations. Payments will be milestone-linked, with disbursements beginning 60 days after submission of an approved invoice along with the progress report, in line with ADOC?s back-to-back contractual framework.

The new contract further strengthens SEPC?s international execution capabilities and complements its presence across water treatment, road infrastructure, industrial EPC and mining sectors in India.
