NTPC Green Energy announced that ninth part capacity of 13.98 MW out of 1255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project located in Gujarat under CPSU scheme Phase-II Tranche-III of NTPC Renewable Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy, is declared on Commercial Operation w.e.f. 00:00 hrs of 30 December 2025.

The current commercial capacity of NTPC Green Energy Group stands at 7,996.30 MW. With the addition of this capacity, the total installed capacity of the NGEL Group will increase to 8,010.28 MW.

In an exchange filing, the company said that the ninth part capacity of 13.98 MW out of the total 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV project, being implemented under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II Tranche-III, has been declared commercially operational with effect from 30 December 2025.

With the commissioning of this capacity, the current commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy group stands at 7,996.30 MW, while the total installed capacity of the NGEL group has increased to 8,010.28 MW.

The company?s consolidated net profit surged 130.3% to Rs 87.59 crore on a 21.5% rise in revenue to Rs 612.29 crore in Q2 FY26 over Q2 FY25.

Shares of NTPC Green Energy shed 0.84% to Rs 94.25 on the BSE.

In an exchange filing, the company said that the fifth part-capacity of 37.925 MW out of the 300 MW Khavda Solar project, being implemented under the 450 MW Hybrid Tranche V project by NTPC Renewable Energy, has been declared commercially operational with effect from 18 December 2025.

NTPC Renewable Energy is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy. Following the commissioning of this capacity, the group?s commercial renewable capacity stands at 7,889.335 MW, while the total installed capacity has increased to 7,927.26 MW.
