Revenue from operations zoomed to Rs 1,410.41 crore during the quarter as compared to Rs 283.39 crore posted in Q2 FY23.

The company reported a profit before tax of Rs 106.25 crore as against a pre-tax loss of Rs 49.48 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter last year.

Total expenses soared to Rs 1314.61 crore in Q2 FY24 from Rs 339.26 crore reported in Q2 FY23. Cost of materials consumed was at Rs 500.11 crore (up 105.49% YoY) while employee beneift expenses stood at Rs 16.45 crore (down 12.26% YoY) during the period under review.

The firm reported a positive EBITDA of Rs 152 crore in Q2 FY24 as compared to a negative EBITDA of Rs 13 crore posted in the same quarter previous year.

The company’s sales quantity surged to 3.33 lakhs million tonnes (MT) in Q2 FY24 as compared to 0.41 lakhs MT registered in Q2 FY23.

On half year basis, the company reported a net profit of Rs 117 crore in H1 FY24 as against a net loss of Rs 9.39 crore reported in H1 FY23. Revenue from operations surged 81.54% YoY to Rs 2,368.44 crore in H1 FY24.

Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers is primarily engaged in the manufacture, purchase and sale of fertilisers.
