Revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,151.75 crore in Q3 FY24, up 5.56% from Rs 1,091.13 crore recorded in Q3 FY23.

Profit before tax climbed 46.27% YoY to Rs 145.85 crore in the quarter ended 31 December 2023.

EBITDA in Q3 FY24 was at Rs 178.77 crore, registering a growth of 34.34% from Rs 133.07 crore registered in Q3 FY23. EBITDA margin improved to 15.52% in Q3 FY24 as compared to 12.20% reported in the corresponding quarter previous year.

The company's chairman said, “Despite the sustained demand challenges witnessed over the past few quarters, we achieved a 6% growth in sales volume, selling 27.09 MSM in Q3 FY24 compared to 25.45 MSM in Q3 FY23.

Considering the optimism in the real estate sector, we remain optimistic about the demand outlook for the tile industry. Given this positive outlook, we believe that the company will continue to deliver industry-leading performance driven by our sustained focus on branding, improving the quality of our distribution network and by enhancing our focus on value added products.”

Meanwhile, the company’s board has approved investment in Kajaria Ultima (KUPL) upto Rs 30 crore, in one or more tranches, through subscription/acquisition of shares of KUPL and/or granting of unsecured loan(s) to KUPL, to make KUPL as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company.

Further, board of directors approved investment in Keronite Tiles (KTPL) upto Rs 50 crore, in one or more tranches, through subscription/acquisition upto 90% shares of KTPL and/or granting of unsecured loan(s) to KTPL.

Kajaria Ceramics is the largest manufacturer of ceramic/vitrified tiles in India and the 8th largest in the world. It has annual capacity of 86.47 mn. sq. meters presently, distributed across seven plants - one at Sikandrabad in Uttar Pradesh, one at Gailpur and one at Malootana in Rajasthan, two at Morbi in Gujarat, one at Srikalahasti in Andhra Pradesh and one at Balanagar in Telangana.

Net profit of Kajaria Ceramics rose 40.19% to Rs 104.19 crore in the quarter ended December 2023 as against Rs 74.32 crore during the previous quarter ended December 2022. Sales rose 5.56% to Rs 1151.75 crore in the quarter ended December 2023 as against Rs 1091.13 crore during the previous quarter ended December 2022.
