Vibha Padalkar joined HDFC Life in 2008 and has held several leadership roles within the organization, where she has played a key role in strengthening the company's financial framework and was instrumental in the successful listing of HDFC Life in 2017, it said. She was appointed as MD & CEO of the company for three years effective from September 12, 2018. She succeeded Amitabh Chaudhry, who is now MD and CEO of Axis Bank.

HDFC Life is a leading, listed, long-term life insurance solutions provider in India, offering a range of individual and group insurance solutions that meet various customer needs such as protection, pension, savings, investment, annuity, and health.

The company reported consolidated net profit of Rs 497.49 crore in Q4 FY26, up 4.65% as against Rs 475.36 crore in Q4 FY25. Net premium income rose 9.04% year on year (YoY) to Rs 25,998.42 crore in Q4 FY26 over Q4 FY25. However, net income from investments turned into a loss of Rs 6,487.58 crore in Q4 FY26, compared with a profit of Rs 18.99 crore a year earlier.

Shares of HDFC Life Insurance Company slipped 1.52% to end at Rs 604.85 on the BSE.

The board of HDFC Life Insurance Company at its meeting held on 16 April 2026 has approved issuance of 1,45,23,906 equity shares of the Company having face value of Rs 10 each, at aprice of Rs 688.52 per equity share, aggregating to Rs 1,000 crore, on a preferential basis to HDFC Bank, promoter of the Company

HDFC Life Insurance Company has fixed 19 June 2026 as record date for payment of final dividend of Rs 2.10 per equity share for FY 2025-26. The dividend will be paid on or after 20 July 2026.

Net profit of HDFC Life Insurance Company rose 4.66% to Rs 497.49 crore in the quarter ended March 2026 as against Rs 475.36 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2025. Sales rose 9.04% to Rs 25998.42 crore in the quarter ended March 2026 as against Rs 23842.99 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2025.

For the full year,net profit rose 5.61% to Rs 1912.32 crore in the year ended March 2026 as against Rs 1810.82 crore during the previous year ended March 2025. Sales rose 11.35% to Rs 77760.49 crore in the year ended March 2026 as against Rs 69836.97 crore during the previous year ended March 2025.
