Net profit of Carborundum Universal declined 1.66% to Rs 134.84 crore in the quarter ended March 2024 as against Rs 137.12 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2023. Sales rose 0.02% to Rs 1183.40 crore in the quarter ended March 2024 as against Rs 1183.15 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2023.

For the full year,net profit rose 11.42% to Rs 461.25 crore in the year ended March 2024 as against Rs 413.99 crore during the previous year ended March 2023. Sales rose 0.59% to Rs 4628.22 crore in the year ended March 2024 as against Rs 4601.04 crore during the previous year ended March 2023.

Net profit of Carborundum Universal declined 17.38% to Rs 94.25 crore in the quarter ended March 2024 as against Rs 114.07 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2023. Sales rose 4.40% to Rs 655.93 crore in the quarter ended March 2024 as against Rs 628.28 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2023.

For the full year,net profit rose 5.86% to Rs 350.35 crore in the year ended March 2024 as against Rs 330.95 crore during the previous year ended March 2023. Sales rose 4.85% to Rs 2593.17 crore in the year ended March 2024 as against Rs 2473.18 crore during the previous year ended March 2023.

Carborundum Universal announced the following changes in senior management on 03 May 2024:

Ninad Gadgil, who has been heading the Abrasives business of the Company in India for the last four years since 4 November 2019 is being transferred to M/s. Wendt (India) Limited (Wendt India), an associate company, as its Executive Director & CEO effective from 6 May 2024 and consequentially will be stepping down from the services of the Company effective the closing hours of 5 May 2024.

C. Srikanth who is currently the Executive Director & CEO of Wendt India has been appointed as the Business Head of Abrasives Business with effect from 6 May 2024.

Bhaskharan Kannun, Head - Human Resources will be retiring from the services of the Company effective closing business hours of 31 August 2024.

Shyam C Raman, has been appointed as President & Chief Human Resources Officer - Designate with effect from 1 July 2024 and he would be taking over as the Chief Human Resources Officer of the Company from 1 September 2024.
