Net profit of Aarti Surfactants declined 0.85% to Rs 4.65 crore in the quarter ended March 2024 as against Rs 4.69 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2023. Sales rose 0.45% to Rs 158.55 crore in the quarter ended March 2024 as against Rs 157.84 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2023.

For the full year,net profit rose 67.95% to Rs 21.33 crore in the year ended March 2024 as against Rs 12.70 crore during the previous year ended March 2023. Sales declined 1.90% to Rs 589.86 crore in the year ended March 2024 as against Rs 601.29 crore during the previous year ended March 2023.

While net revenue from operations grew modestly by 4% to Rs 138.75 crore, the company managed to control expenses efficiently, leading to a significant boost in profitability.

Accordingly, total expenses for the quarter came in at Rs 129.69 crore, just 1% higher than the previous year.

Profit before tax in Q3 FY24 stood at Rs 9.08 crore, up by 66% from Rs 5.45 crore recorded in Q3 FY23. Total tax outgo for the third quarter was Rs 2.40 crore (up 63% YoY).

Aarti Surfactants is engaged in product portfolio includes surfactants, mild surfactants, rheology modifiers, pearlizing agents, UV filters, syndet and soap bases, and active ingredients, as well as conditioning agents, blends, proteins, and quats. It serves skin care, oral, hair, cosmetics, bath and shower, sun care, fabric/laundry care, dishwashing, toilet care, and surface care segments.
